The Daughter Project

Volunteer Opportunities:

Mentor: As a Mentor you will be serving a group of extremely traumatized adolescent girls, although you will be assigned primarily to one particular girl. We expect that you will pray daily for her, spend at least four hours per week with her and commit to doing both of these things for at least one year.  You must be a Christian woman, at least 21 years old. It is our desire that your selection as a Mentor be based upon your maturity as a Godly woman more than any other single criteria.

Support Home: We want the Support Home to be the place where moms can have a break from the intensity of living with and loving extremely traumatized girls. We expect it to be more than simply a place where they receive room and board. We want the Support Home to provide prayer, a listening ear and empathy as well as privacy when needed – true heart-felt support for house moms who need these two days for their own recovery before returning to the recovery home. We ask for a one-year commitment. We need your flexibility and as can be expected there will be a screening process.

Tutors: As a Tutor you will be serving a group of extremely traumatized adolescent girls. You will be asked to commit to tutoring once or twice a week for a period of at least one year as the girls progress through their online educational program. You must possess a valid teaching certificate.

Mission Statement:

We provide holistic healing services in an extremely safe, home-like environment to girls/women who have been freed from sex traffickers at no cost to them or their families. The services include; abuse & addiction counseling, family/friend restoration, health & nutrition education, medical/dental/vision care, legal counsel and spiritual  mentorship. This help is provided by caring & competent professionals and volunteers.  We have recruited doctors, counselors and other professionals to provide medical services to our girls.  In addition to medical services, we collaborate with various local community organizations to provide healthy, educational and recreational opportunities for our girls.
