Don Fothergill, Networker

Don has been a pastor in Toledo since 1981. In those years he’s developed a reputation throughout the city for having a passion for unity in the church.

He’s been married to Joan for over forty years, an accomplishment that his wife should get credit for in dealing with all his eccentricities. Their oldest daughter, Sara, is married to a pastor and they have four children. His youngest daughter, Elizabeth, is married to a New Testament professor and they have three children.

Don received a Bachelors of Science in Forestry from the University of New Hampshire, Masters of Divinity from Gordon Conwell and a Doctorate in Church Growth and Leadership from Fuller and is certified as a Spiritual Director. Don has an eclectic collection of hobbies: playing the trumpet, riding motorcycles, quilting, scherenschnitte, playing with the grandkids, creating sculptures, gardening, construction . . . .

Don intends to spend the rest of his life networking people of good faith and good will with meaningful opportunities to serve in our beloved city of Toledo.
