The Arms Forces: Embracing the Militaries’ Invisible Wounds

Volunteer Opportunities:

  • There are countless opportunities to volunteer with the Arms Forces. The primary qualification to serve is that one would have a heart for those suffering from Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder. Opportunities will be tailored and made to suit your experience and your desires.

  • The Paws Forces program of The Arms Forces– Foster Individuals needed for service dogs in training that will be given to veterans who have a traumatic brain injury or post-traumatic stress. You will met with our trainer to assess your abilities after making application with our organization. Please email for a confirmation.

  • April 9  America on Tap at Seagate Center. We need set up and tear down help at Seagate Center day of event.  We also need volunteers who can man our vendor booth, provide information and sell items (not alcohol). There is also need for volunteers to man the “taps” at the event to serve customers. We need 50 friendly volunteers for these positions.

  • Dancing With The Military Stars, a night of honor and entertainment is our signature event on May 14, 2016 at the Stranahan Great Hall. We need volunteers NOW and the following months leading up to event  to help with donations, auction,  mailings etc.  We are in need of artists to help us with some design projects such as backdrops,  etc.  Volunteers are needed for set-up of the hall on Friday 5/13 from 11am-10pm, any shift that works for you.  We need general volunteers to assist the chefs with the food tables, runners throughout the event, valet parking attendants, “paparazzi” who will greet guests and take pictures, volunteers to work with check-in and show people to their tables, tear down crew, and more.

  • Rehabilitation counselor, other counselor or speech therapist willing to learn our family program and facilitate the program for 8 weeks, 1x per week, at minimum 1 time a year. Knowledge of the Military/veteran issues, traumatic brain injury, post-traumatic stress and a willingness to develop positive working relationships with veterans and families and engage in an Interactive support experience for our program LEEF, Lifting up, Educating and Empowering Families of  veterans who have invisible wounds.

The Mission Statement is the Arms Forces provide a caring heart and a listening ear that help educate, empower and facilitate change for veterans who have a traumatic brain injury or post traumatic stress or other invisible wounds. We build partnerships with our veterans, families, service providers and their communities to inspire hope and remove stigma so challenges can be addressed and lives transformed.
