Volunteer Opportunities

1.  Assist in our emergency food and clothing pantry on Tuesdays and Wednesdays:

    a) Sorting clothing, sorting donations of food and preparing food bags
    b) Assist with passing out food bags on Wednesday and assisting with helping clients find clothing

2.  Assist in our Dress Right for Men and Women clothing room:

     a) Assist those looking for professional clothing (Wednesday &Thursday) by referrals
     b) Help sort and hang professional donations

3.  Summer Camp Assistance:

     a) Donate 2-3 hours (morning or afternoon) working with children in our summer camp through reading and educational games
  b) Help assist with field trips

All volunteers must fill out an application and pass a background check 

Mission Statement:

The Monroe Street Neighborhood Center provides necessary food, clothing and transportation to community members, as well as a service coordinator to aid people in finding jobs and managing their finances.  The center also provides many services geared toward strengthening families and offering children a safe environment outside of the home.
