American Red Cross

Volunteer Opportunities:

Volunteers are invaluable to the daily operation of the American Red Cross of the Ohio Buckeye Region and are truly the heart and soul of the organization. Follow these steps and become a volunteer with the American Red Cross!

1. Get started by choosing the volunteer application type that best fits your situation and filling out your initial profile.

2. This required training highlights the history, values and fundamental principles of the Red Cross and reviews volunteer opportunities currently available within the chapter.

3. Depending on which volunteer path you choose with the American Red Cross, you may need to complete additional training. We will work with you to refer you to the department of your choice and will inform you of any additional training you may need to get started.

Once your application and background check are received, and you have attended an orientation, you will be contacted by a representative from the department in which you choose to volunteer to discuss next steps. You can also attend a Volunteer Orientation Session to learn what it means to be an American Red Cross volunteer.

Mission Statement:

“The American Red Cross prevents and alleviates human suffering in the face of emergencies by mobilizing the power of volunteers and the generosity of donors.
