Beach House Family Shelter

Volunteer Opportunities:

  • Yard Work and Thorough House Cleanings: Sunday-Saturday, 8am-4pm. Cleaning and organizing donations in our historic building.

  • Seasonal yard work, spring-fall: weeding, raking and planting.

  • Educational Presentations: Wednesday and Friday mornings from 9am-10am during our weekly house meetings. Topics vary based on volunteers agency background. (i.e.: interviewing skills, healthy eating, life skills, etc.)

  • Craft and Game Nights: Friday evening at 6pm or Saturday and Sunday between 8am and 4pm. Limited craft supplies available in shelter; if interested in doing a specific craft or activity it is recommended to bring own supplies.

 Volunteers will complete paperwork: contact information, release of liability and confidentiality contract. Volunteers under 18 yrs old must be accompanied by an adult.
